E-LEARNING IN MUSIC EDUCATION

Technology has revolutionised our ways and means of interacting with music. I've explored many angles of this development. An
e-learning pilot program I ran together with the company Yousician is one of the most interesting references of this work.

TEACHING & LECTURES
I've ran music classes, courses, instrument lessons and band rehearsals for over 15 years, both as a freelancer and as a teacher in schools and academies. My particular interests in music education are musical creativity, community building, and finding new ways of understanding music through improvisation and analytic listening.

INSTRUMENTS & BANDS

I play the Swedish keyed fiddle nyckelharpa and do vocals in several folk music bands, eg. Siba Folk Big Band, Himmeli and Perinnearkun Pelimannit.

FROM HISTORICAL TO CONTEMPORARY
Folk music escapes the laws of time and space. In my artistic work I explore the powerful connection folk music creates from history to modern day. 

IMPROVISATION & JAM SESSIONS
Playing together and learning from one's peers are the corner stones of folk music. Using the tools adapted from folk music sessions I aim to spread the ideal of lateral, creative, and participatory musicianship.
